Default Cannot browse on my PSP

I am soooo useless with my PSP, all I pretty much know how to do is play my games and movies on it, other than that... Nada... I got my PSP last Saturday by chance!

Anyway, my problem is that I cannot for the life of me connect my PSP to the internet... My laptop has the whole 'wifi' lingo that is needed an stuff, but it keeps saying an error has occured and cannot connect. :x

Don't know what the heck I'm meant to do to connect it up, don't know what a SSID is, or WEP etc. It's all doing my head in! I need this simplified. :?

What do I do step by step... Can someone help me out? (Ps: I've already updated it to Vers. 2.0)

When you talk about the laptop and WiFi stuff, do you mena that the laptop has a WiFi card?
For the PSP to connect to the internet you need to have a Wireless Access Point. For a home user it'll be a wireless router

You can use your laptop and internet connection sharing, but you will need to get it configured right and thats a whole load of hassle!

I'll do some checking. I know it can be done but how is one of those rare mysteries. It all depends on the adaptor and driver. What model is it?

To get the internet through your laptop you need to make sure your laptop will work as an access point. That will depend on the drivers you are using and the wireless chipset of your laptop.

You can't use USB to connect to the internet no matter what you do. It's only there to connect your PC to the memory stick. There are also some accessories planned that use it.

You need to find out how to configure your laptop to make the wireless stuff work as an access point. Also, if you do that you can't use it to connect to the internet. You will need a cable connection for the laptop. I can't give you a step by step as I don't know what hardware and software you have.
