Is this ok to connect my PSP wirelessly?

yes however it is not a new router (it's 802.11b).

If you get a newer router (802.11g standard) then it will be a bit quicker.

elbow, not really. When you connect the PSP it will slow down to the PSP's 11b connection speeds.

Most routers have a B-mode, G-mode, or a Mixed Mode that allows both B and G signals to be read at the same time. Yes G is faster, but the PSP only knows B.

Mine is too. But I think it's more os a hardware issue than a software thing. It would be cool. But aren't laptops also 802.11b? It would be even better if I had a laptop that was G!

it all depends if the wireless was built in or not. The built in WiFi chipsets are usually 11b and they've got tonnes of stock to get rid of, so 11b is very cheap. I've also heard that it's physically smaller than the g chipset. It could be why Sony chose it.

One thing I will point out. Broadband connections have yet to break the 10mpbs barrier, so your PSP can actually communicate faster than broadband!
