No. You would need a wireless router. the wireless USB adapter is a recieves a wireless signal, not distributes it. A wireless router is the way to go...Only like 60 bucks these days.

I found one for 36 dollars at amazon, which is a very very good deal.

that is a good deal for budget buying. I'd suggest a G rated router just to be compatible with any wireless product you buy for your pc. B normally works with anything but G rated routers are a little better.

yes, but the psp goes only up to b, and g routers are faster, but really dont make a difference if all you are going to do with a router is to go on the internet.

Stop confusing the guy. No, you cannot use the wifi to transfer files to the memory card regadless of what you use. The only way to put files on the memory card is to use the USB cable.

lol, sorry, misread his question, btw the usb cable is usually the same cable you use to transfer pictures from a digital camera to your computer, so you may not even have to buy another cable.

what do you mean the psp only goes up to b? does that mean only certain routers will work with the psp?

Do you need to be in a ''hotspot'' to be able to connect via wi-fi?

no you can use your home wireless network and the psp (should) find it - i can use the psp with my wireless router based network to

or you can use a pc with a wi-fi card and a seperate net connection (e.g ethernet) to play wi-fi games over the internet using xlinkkai

but one step at a time...
