Around at least 600-650MB for a movie with good enough quality. There are guides out there how to get movies on to a memory stick, for free. Sony is said to come out with software to make it easy copying movie to your mem stick.

I'm not sure. The compression to MPEG4 is pretty amazing. I took a 42 mb trailer for Final Fantasy Advent children AVI and turned it into a 12 mb MPEG4 with the same quality. The average quality movie I download for movies are around 800-900 megs. If the compression ratio stays the same, then you could fit approx 3 good quality movies on a 1gig stick. I will update this when my 1 gig stick arrives since I've ordered it last week.

you guys are all wrong [save ehandler] when you get DVDs into MPEG4 format movies are about 100mb. that means you can fit 5 movies on a 512mb stick and about 10 movies on a 1gb memory stick and play it on the psp.
i am guessing for songs you can hold..about 500 songs on a 1 gig stick.

I have a trailer on my 32 mb card. It all depends on fps (frames per seconds). I was a 90 seconds trailer for Final Fantasy Advent children at 29fps. Very clean and next to perfect quality. Only takes up 12 mb. I'd be glad to send it to someone to prove the point if needed.
