Default NEW TO PSP > WHICH VERSION PSP DO I BUY???

Hi there all,

just about to buy a new PSP.

Should i get the UK version or get the JAP version??

Doesn't really make any difference. If you imported a Japanese PSP there wouldn't be much change of it being below a 1.51 anyway so you may as well save the hassle of the import and buy a UK model. If homebrew is really important to you (which is the reason I assume you are asking the question) then I suggest you pay a little extra and buy a 1.5 model off ebay or some other place that guarentees a specific version.

If you want to use homebrew that is a good deal considering it is no more expensive than a new UK model. I say go for it - you can even collect if you are near London.

Can the JAP model not do anything the UK one can???

Not really. There are some new movies that require V2.0 of the firmware but I believe WABS versions changer allows this to work. However, unless you updated the 1.52 firmware that comes with the UK consoles you would have the same problem but no way of rectifying it without updating to V2.0.
