Default Newbie saying hi...

Hello all  . OK, I have been on this site for about 30mins now and there is a lot of knowledge going around. Always good to see .

OK. My g/f bought me a PSP for my birthday yesterday :P (DoB actually 09/09/80, that makes me 25 now) and I have a few questions that I'm not 100% sure on :? .

1.) How do I check what version I have? Model is PSP1003.
2.) How do I shrink vids into an MPeg4 format?
3.) Need to but a 1gig memory stick, are the ones on eBay OK? Are they really compatible?
4.) If connected to the internet on the PSP what sites are available to browse? eg Hotmail, PSP-Forum etc.
5.) Do you need a driver to connect your PSP to your PC?
6.) Has anyone run the programme to get rid of the Dead Pixels (the white ones)? And does it work?

These are all I can think of for now but I'm sure I'll have plenty more questions until I know the ins-and-outs of the PSP and use it how it should be. OK, I'm off to play some NFS,

Thanks in advance,
Gareth.

1)I'm not to sure, ask someone else
2)Google PSPVideo9
3)If it says PSP compatible, it probably is. If it's not you can always email the guy from eBay and chew him out for a refund
4)Most, if not all websites are viewable from a PSP
5)No
6)There's a video that unsticks stuck pixels, but if they're dead, you're stuck with them.

Hope that helps,

Constantine
