Default PSP Won't Turn Off

I accessed the Internet Browser but my Router seems to have gone out so I got the message 'Communication with the server failed' and now I can't do anything. I can't exit with the circle button and I can't turn the PSP off. This being right after I fully charged it, so it won't run out for hours. And when it does, I'm afraid I won't be able to turn it back on. This came out of nowhere. I've never had a problem with my PSP before. The volume, display and sound buttons work, though. Any idea what happened? It was fully functional seconds and hours before this.

Are you sure this wouldn't damage the PSP?

Positive. Pull it out, wait a second or two, put it back in and turn it on. Mine got stuck once or twice.

Alright, it's working again. That gave me a good scare.
Now if only my router would spontaneously work again.
