Highjacker, I realize that you fix PSPs for a living and that you need cash too, but lets go through the motions before we make this guy give you his hard earned money for something that might not even fix it.

I know you are trying to be nice how you say that, and I will do the same. Two things....I do NOT do this for a living. I work a 45hr week building jetboats....this is a side thing to help people out and make a very small amount of profit. Second, I can promise you that if he shut that psp off while it was flashing the firmware...then it most def is the motherboard, and there is no other option. Unless someone has a way to fix a bad firmware upgrade(non that I know of)...then he is screwed into a new psp or a motherboard. It is just like an xbox bios, if you shut it off while you are updating the bios, it will frag. The only fix for that is a 29 wire chip that re-flashes or to bypass the bios with a modchip.

It was just booting the update sector when he killed the power...there's still hope. But I can assure that if we can't help, you'll be the first we recommend, alright?

No, that was just his stupid decision to TURN OFF the PSP while the internal files were changing. That's like downloading Windows XP onto your computer, but shutting off the power half way through.

Well, considering the fact that you don't download an giant OS, he still has a chance.
