Plus, the graphics on the DS aren't horrible, just not PSP quality. A side note is that the DS runs at 60 Frames per Second while the PSP runs at 30 Frames per Second, which means the DS looks better while in motion, while the PSP does not look as good as the screenshots show. Please do not flame or lock this. I'm only defending a system a lot of fanboys are bashing when they know nothing about it.
AMEN!!!*ppsssssttt* it s me!!!

The DS will see Nintendo continue their trend of releasing quirky handheld titles and re-releases of old Nintendo classics. This has, and always will be, their way ... and there's nothing wrong with that. The touch screen will bring new innovations to the handheld gaming market, but PSP is aimed at reinventing Portable Entertainment, which goes way beyond handheld gaming.

SCEA's CEO said at CES that the PSP "will take portable entertainment out of the handheld gaming ghetto", and I believe that Sony will achieve this. A typical customer who buys the DS will most likely have a background of owning Nintendo consoles and very likely, one of the various GameBoys. The main extent of it's use will be to play titles like Metroid, Mario 64, Mario Kart, Zelda, etc but with added "quirks" using the touchscreen.

PSP, on the other hand, appeals to a more mature demographic. I travel a lot with my work, so the night before I'm due to travel I put a movie on my PSP's Memory Stick Duo, let's say one of my favourite movies, Kill Bill. I also put the new Stereophonics album on there in the form of MP3's, and put some photos of my family, friends, and pet on there too. In the morning, I pick up my PSP, my back-up battery (fully charged), and three UMD's ... let's say, Need for Speed Underground Rivals, Lumines, and Tiger Woods 2005.

For my trip, on one device, I have three PS2 quality software titles, the new album by my favourite band, one of my favourite movies, and photos of my family & friends.

No disrespect to the DS, it's a good handheld games machine, but people who want/buy PSP, are looking for that extra bit more ... they're looking for the best in Portable Entertainment.

If I was to take a DS on a business trip, what would I have to keep me going? Mario 64, Metroid, and ..... nothing.

There in, lies the difference.

PSP is portable entertainment,
DS is simple handheld gaming.
I strongly disagree, its the other way around, whats innovative about the PSP?!!? If your going to say multimedia then ill answer you by saying I rather have an I pod or Mp3 player because the battery life is better
If your going to say it has more innovative games again thats wrong because driving around cars IN NFS:R there is nothign innovative about that. Graphics are not innovative, they are alwayes there! DS has a rouch screen, a mic and 2 total screens, thats innovative, thats a new way to play

We are all here totalk about psp, not to argue about DS. I don't think Ds is a bad system either but i' just saying psp is better. If you want a good compliment about the DS then I would say it is better than Dreamcast. so stop your bichin and go away DS fanboys.
And one moe thing (jackie chan's uncle) When you click on the picture that DSlover posted, in that website the guy holding the DS looks hella gay while the guy holding the PSP looks like a pimp.
