Your PSP is the UK version and that is region 2 so all movies have to be region 2 to be played on your PSP. US is region 1 and japan is region 3 but i'm not too sure about Aus.
EDIT: Australia is region 4.

Hi all, Just thought I'd mention about movie play back on the memory stick, this somewhat rules out potential problems with region coding. The results are impressive. I encode my video's in Mpeg 4 avc format at psp highest resolution 480x272. They are on a par wiv umd movies and take up less space on a trip!!! 8 gig stick will fit 10 full size movies,4gig =5movies, 2gig= 3 at a push,1gig=1 movie. 2hrs plus each. There's lots of free programmes on the net that can do this. I personally use anydvd mobile, it takes aprox 6hrs to encode a movie with maximum results. Very easy interface and can be downloaded from slysoft.com for a 21day trial!!! Hope this is helpful to some of you.

I could fit 2 onto my 1gb if i lost a little Quality... You lose quality anyways.

PS I use PSP Video Express. It takes about half an hour at most to do it.

As I said full resolution video 480x272, the programme does take a little longer than others but the results are the best out of all the video converting programmes on the net!!! Programme also converts video for ps3 and most other wellknown handhelds and mobile phones....

I wonder why they have to change the UMD's just because it's in a different region...Isn't [Settings, change language] enough?

Stop people importing games for a cheaper price then selling them for more.

I am usuin psp video express and it aint cost me anyfin. Probably cos if i pay for it then it goes EVEN faster and has the option to crop the movie for better resolution.

But yeah. 6 hours for a movie!!! That is probably about 3x the lenth of the movie. I will never use that even if the quality is good. It can never be better quality than the quaity of the source.
