Default Bit of help needed re a broken psp lite

Hi.
New here and in need of advice.
My sons psp lite went faulty, all the games seem to move the toons backwards, and possibly in an upwards direction.
This is what i have done so far.
1. Replaced the analoge joystick (that didnt solve it).
2. Replaced the left hand direction flex ribbon (that didnt solve it)

Having looked on a few sites, there is some reference to analoge joysticks having a rubber contact, but its unclear if this is just for the 1000 Phat model, I have noticed having taken it apart again that it does NOT have one (maybe lost when 1st opened).

I would be grateful if someone could clarify wether the psp lite has the rubber contact on the joystick.

If it doesn't, cause that is the only thing in my limited experience I can find missing. What could be the possible cause of the problem?

Quick edit....I have turned the system on without the faceplate, so I know its not the DPAD buttons making contact

Thank You In Advance

I would assume the short circuit would possibly only come from the joystick, or the DPAD flex ribbon. Both have been replaced.
Hope there's someone out there who has knowledge of the psp slim and wether it should have the small clear rubber contact on the joystick.

Could the cable to the mobo be connected incorrectly?

Hi mate,
Best way to find out would be to search for replacement rubber anologue seal for psp slim on ebay!! That way you can rule out if you lost the seal. When you put the psp faceplate back on did you tighten the screws up sufficiently? Because if there's a slight gap this could cause a problem. if you can't sort it time to send to someone who fixes psp's for business. They would sort it for you. Chris

This link may help!!! If yr in uk

Hi, rechecked the connection pspplayer, seems ok.
Hotfuzz, thank for reply, yes I'm from the UK, checked ebay but the picture they show is for the phat model, however they dont specify in the description wether is for the phat or slim.
