Can I do anything in the recovery menu that R1 turn on menu? I also want to download software update 4. something on official site so I can download demos. But I get the DADADADADA message whenever I try to install 4.02 from the memory stck. Anyone help me please???? Thanks |

Right, the OE-A part of your firmware means you are on custom firmware and not official firmware. This is the reason it wont let you upgrade back to official as thats a stupid idea to do.
You can still get the latest firmare 4.01, look below at my sig... you need to install 3.52 M33 and from there i believe you can go to 4.01 M33, if not then upgrade to the required firmware version to be able to install 4.01 M33. About killzone, games are not region locked so i cant see it being a problem that its an asian PSP. Maybe the servers are down... not sure, upgrade first and try again. Kev ![]()

To make things easier I'd rather just switch to the official firmware can I do that easily?
Will killzone not work online with my current firmware? I only have 3 official games and use the PSP about three times a year so would like to just switch it to official settings so I can download the free PSP demos on official site. Thanks for help Last edited by HornetUK; 07-19-2008 at 04:20 PM. |

Update to the latset custom firmware it really isnt that hard. Download the 3.52 M33 CFW. Install it. Then update to 4.01 M33. Job done. All you have to do is download the official firmwares (3.52 and 4.01) along with the M33 update patches for those versions. Copy it to memory stick, rename the eboot.pbp files to 352.pbp etc. and start the update from the Game>memory stick on the menu system of the PSP
getting official firmware is much more difficult than upgrading your already custom firmware And note... there are many benefits to having custom firmware. as it is basically official firmware with bits added on and security removed There a lot of people that pay good money to be in your position Try to understand the benefits you have here Click my signature below for more details |

Where is the M33 Creator download? I downloaded the file above these instructions but it wasn't on my memory stick?
Thanks your PSP to your computer. Open STEP 2 folder then copy the M33CREATOR folder to your “ms0:/PSP/GAME” (for 1.50 Firmwares) or “ms0:/PSP/GAME150″ (for SE/OE Firmwares). Disconnect your PSP from your computer then on the XMB menu go to GAMES > Memory Stick and execute 3.52 M33 CREATOR. For noobs, the screen will normally go black so don’t panic. |
