Salaam
I bought a PSP Slim 2 month ago but after a while it didn't work well till now. It doesn't Boot completely. When you try to boot it, the "Sony entertainment" text appears and then the lines which go up and down comes then it hangs and u cannot do any thing with it. In this situation u can just turn it off (by holding the power switch for five Secs). I hacked it and now it runs 3.9 firmware, You can boot the system by going to the recovery menu, and boot it form Eboot. In this way it will boot correctly and u can play movies & music easily but when u want to play a game it will hang on the PSP logo and u cannot do any thing but turn it off. I downgraded, upgraded and even braked it and upgraded it again but it didn't solve the problem. I think it has hardware problem. Is there anything in your power to help me solve my problem? I will be looking forward to hear from you. |

Hi mate,
My advise to you is take it back to where you purchased it, provided you've not opened up the system and voided yr warranty. After all its only a couple of months old. Downgrade it to 1.5 then add official firmware from a umd title use a newish game. They will be none the wiser, explain it does'nt boot up right. Should give you a replacement!!! This is only relevent of course if you bought it retail and have kept yr till receipt. Good luck. Chris
