Default my psp has a life of its own

hi my sons psp broke a few months ago, first of all the psp wouldnt reconise any umds, so i took it to pieces to see if there was any think wrong that i could see, well obviosley i dont have a clue and as i was trying to have a look around it i snapped the power button off so i just put it back together and left it for a couple of weeks,,n when i finaly felt brave to have another go of tryng to fix it i got it switched on by lifting the faceplate and sliding the broken power switch with a needle, i noticed the umd problem was fixed and it was now reconising games, so my son couldnt wait to play on it,so he put gta in and as the game started he noticed the man was running in the opposite direction to what he was pressing, and wouldnt stay still, so im wondering if its got any thing to do with the direction buttons, sorry for the long thread, but i am desperate to get this fixed as it is just left gathering more dust, i know probablys that this is my own fault by taking it to pieces in the 1st place, and not just leaving it ,as ive broke one thing after another with it, thankyou

Default Broken psp

Hi Mate ,
My advice to you would be to either send it off to be fixed on the net, ebays a good place to start. Also check locally see if anybody fixes psp's. Don't try to attempt to fix it your self could be the analogue stick but there also sounds like the UMD drive could be damaged!! Has your son dropped it at any time? Chris:roll:
