Default Psp Not Booting Up Anymore

Hi,

i wonder if someone can help , my psp is not booting up anymore.
when booting up i get the sony startup logo and then nothing.
lcd screen is on , but the os is not loading. The only major thing i did lately was upgrading the firmware , but i have been able to play with it for weeks after ( so i think not the cause ) .
Any recommendation as to what i can try to get it working again?

Thanks,
S
