Default Can I play audio/video from a UMD?

I know about UMD movies and that sort of stuff...What I'm wondering is if I can play/access audio or video that is on a UMD without having to do it through the game.

For example, I have Lumines II and I would like to watch just the videos without the game play over top of them. I haven't found a way to do that in the game so I was wondering if I could access those vids (and music) from the standard music and video functions of the PSP. Also I'd like to be able to play the audio from the Wipeout games without having to go into the game and play them from there.

I'm betting the answer is no but hoping it's yes.

iRShell, anyone? Built in PMF player. Load iRShell and browse to your UMD. Then go into the folders and play the vids.

iRShell, like Constantine said.

The PSP plays its sound through audio channels, with iRShell, you can control which channels are active and which are not.

For example:

Say Channel 1 is your memory cards music, and Channel 2 is game audio. You can halt Channel 2 and activate Channel 1 before opening a game. So while your playing a game, you can listen to whatever you've got saved.

You didn't say whether you PSP is homebrew enabled or not. If it's not, you won't be able to do this.
