Default PSP worth a birthday present?

I was wondering if PSP is worth it's hype?

Next week is my bf's birthday. He's been wanting a PSP for a long time now since it came out. But it is a lot of $$$, and he told me I shouldn't get it for him.

He is big on collecting games and different consoles. The only one he's missing at the moment is a PSP. Because the PSP package is expensive, I wouldn't be able to get any games with it as they alone cost about $40?

What's your advice? I don't know what else I could get him instead. He already has other portables, and uses them often. He also has a mini mp3 player.

Any help, or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I also have different handheld(ds,ngage,iPod to name some) and the psp, personally, is my favorite. I understand what you mean about the price, but in my oppinion its worth it.

-hope that helps

You know, there's holiday coming up that is involved in gift-giving, and I know he's gonna need a game, but, of course, he has to return the favor.

Heh, all this sexual hinting is making me feel uncomfortable. Anyways, I would say get him the PSP, but do what my parents do:Say it's a gift for two occasions his birthday and _______. It works, and they're happy.

I am sure your Boyfriend will adore his present and your comments about giving the whole wide world were very touching indeed.
He is one lucky chappie to have a girlfriend that feels that way about him.

Please ensure that he visits this site after his birthday and the lot of us will help with any questions he may have.

If you wish we can erase this thread if you feel it will ops: you or he.
