Default Dropped PSP, But i think its fixable. Suggestions?

k so i dropped my psp on the ground. it still works for everything, but playing UMDs. Here are some things wrong with it:

-Booting up takes a long time
-Returnig home from a homebrew game takes a long time
-Doesnt play UMDs

When trying to play a game:

-Spins it forever, then says "This disc could not be read"
-As it spins, i here this clicking noise

I opened the UMD slot and watched it spin and saw a little black thing go back and forth, and saw it vibrating against something. this is the clicking noise.

Im almost positive that it is simply a mechanical problem, so i need to know:

-is it easy enough that i can/should open my it and try to fix this problem myself?
-will EBGames or something fix this problem for me?

-Thanks

Take it, go to your room, and throw it at your bed really hard then catch it. Works everytime.

If it's still under warranty you can try contacting Sony for a replacement. If not, you might wanna crack it open and see if anything looks out of place, if that doesn't work it seems to me you can either pay Sony about $100 for a replacement if it's out of warranty or just buy another one.

ya id normally send it back but i like my custom FW. i just dont know if there are many risks for opening the psp by taking out the back.

-like could just about anyone take the back of a psp off, then put it back on?
-and are there any risks of me frying the motherboard or anything?

cause if it's something simple, i dont want to pay some kid at EBGames $$$ to fix it

If you don't feel confident in your ability to open it up, I'd say don't do it.

You realize it's super easy to get CF on any PSP now that there's pandora right?
