Default Multiplayer question

Quick question: I'm planning on buying a Japanese PSP in a week or so and a little problem occured. My friend got an American unit and I'm starting to get worried if the wireless multiplayer feature will work or not when bith units are different regions and also the games.
A little help please?
And buying an American is out of question, I got a pretty good offer.
Thank you.

Ok to the best of my (limited) knowledge.... the games are not regional and neither is the wifi technology between units... so that means you should be able to play connected between games and PSP's purchased from different parts of the world....

Having said that I believe one of the members on here has tried this with a certain game and it did not work at all which kinda puts a spanner in my theory above.

OK YOU LOT.... anyone tried this and has fist hand experience of such please post to this thread so we can all learn a little more.

Cheers

Des

I just heard from a friend who posted on a different forum that it works. I have no idea how accurate it is, but it shouldn't be that hard to try out, would it? On the other hand, two games from different regions WONT work, which is much more understandable. It still sucks, though.
Ah well, you can never learn to much.
