ok so i might get one now but need to know about firmware and as soon as it arrives will i be able to play it or not i know about battrey charging.
is the higher the firmware the better the psp is going to be or not? can i just buy umd movies push the cartridge into the back of the console and watch? Finally to listen to music do you just drag and drop to your memory stick? please help me !

Jacko... hello and calm down.... the powersupply here in Canada is compatible with the UK 240 volts no worries and I am guessing the Jpn supply is the same too... sure someone will verify that... if not pop into Tandy and but a powersupply.. no worries.

Music files drag and drop UMD movies and games pop into the back and Bobs your long lost reletive.

NOW CALM DOWN :wink: and check out what people are saying about the games etc... you will love it.

As for firmware... it makes no odds what version you have if all your going todo is play shop bought games... if however you want to muck about with emulators then 1.5 or below is what you need.

Hope that has answered some of your fears.

what is an emulator?
if i buy a us one will it only play region 1 dvds?
if i bought one i would want to use it for playing games watching films and listening to music so could i just buy one with a large size memory stick and do all of this without messing about with software? also will the games play on all versions of psp? will i need a transformer for voltage change or not to charge it up? thanks for your help im not panicing i just dont want to buy the wrong one and want to know a little about what i might be purchasing.

An emulator is a program that can play games from 1 gaming system on a different gaming system.

If you are in Canda, you cannot play movies from America if you have a Japanese PSP. (you can only play Japanese movies) I think that's Region 1 for Jpn PSP's.
