Default Battery life

Is there an official battery for the older fat PSP that has extended life? I notice there are a few third-party ones on Amazon but I don't fancy taking the risk with them...

ive seen some 3600mah on ebay, im not so sure about official ones but 3600 would double gameplay, whether or not its true i dont know.

If its sold by amazon youd be able to take it back, ebay not. look for lithium polymer batteries, they are the nuts

I'm pretty sure that Sony either made a 2200 mAh or 2600 mAh battery.

yeah i think for the phat it goes up to 2800mAh, for official batteries. which really is not bad when i used mine (before i turned it into a pandora) it would last about 5-6 hours, thats while playing games.

What are the battery figures for a std battery? I never looked at it when I bought mine.

for the standard phat battery its like 4-5 hours i think, thats playing games listening to music and what not. Actually here is a link that shows the battery life, according to what your doing, UMD Games, MP3 Playback, Wifi (multiplayer game), etc, etc. Battery Life Test Results
