Default Psp Vs Nintendo Ds

I really need a good answer.

Psp, or nintendo DS?

I've heard things aout both, I want to know core memory, what you can use for it, its capabilities. How good are the games, whats avg battery life. Does it beat the DS? I have my ipod so I dont need music, but Im looking at the movie capapbility. Can I put movies directly into the folder of the PSP? Please answer ASAP

I have both and love both. IMO only get the DS if you understand that most of the good games are more "casual" than "hardcore", and if you really like Nintendo first party games. There isn't much of a game selection outside of these games.

PSP has a more "grownup" library, but many criticize it since many of the good games are too similar to what you can buy for the PS2 (I don't think this is a bad thing).

As far as features, there really is no comparison, the PSP wins that battle hands down IMO, and that's just with official firmware. If you factor in custom firmware, it's just embarassing how much more the PSP can do compared to the DS.

It doesn't have a hard drive, you have to buy a memory stick to save things. Memory Sticks just work like a memory card in a videogame console does if you're at all familiar with those.

There are a few differences between the Slim and Lite and the Phat. The Slim has the ability to display on your TV if you buy the optional cables. It's a little thinner and about 1/3 lighter. It has double the amount of RAM than the Phat (64 MB for Slim 32 MB for Phat).

The UMD door is magnetic on the Slim instead of spring loaded. The speakers are placed higher on the system, and the WLAN switch is on the top instead of on the right side.

There is no longer an infrared port on the Sliim. The battery is smaller but lasts just as long, and there's the ability to put the older battery in the Slim if you get a new cover. That's about all I can think of right now.

I own a PSP slim and lite and my brother a Nintendo DS...
The DS has fun games but they are for young kids
The touch screen is cool but eventualy it has pockets of air in it
it has 2 TINY screens
hard to hold (makes your hands ache after a while)

PSP lite
All of what was allready said
much bigger screen and comfortable grip
Great analog stick
cheaper games (by just a little for WA)

I am much happier playing a PSP then a DS

and as for the detailed differences between psp's
PSP Phat (PSP 1000)- PlayStation Portable - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
PSP Slim and Lite (PSP 2000)- PlayStation Portable Slim and Lite - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Don't know much about the DS...

The psp however rivals ps2 graphically, and in a few months its going raise some serious eyebrows (do you know what sony's cooking?) when they release Crisis Core (best game I've played so far and I can't read anything they are saying!) not to mention a slew of other tba originals coming and one of my all time favorite features - the psp store which offers psone games! WA for the psp? hells yes.

I'm sure the DS is fun but...seriously how do DSers compare the two?
