Default USB 2-1 charger/connect cable

So I got the usb 2-1 cable so i can charge my psp off of usb into the power port, and it works more or less like its supposed to, and its great not having to carry around the ac adapter, but ive noticed that it takes 10 hours to charge the battery from dead, at least. Is that normal i dont remember it taking this long with the normal ac adapter or do you think my battery is dead?
Thanks and you guys are all really helpful

Default

I personally havent used a USB Charger, but I would have to say that the Charge time would be different from wall outlet to a USB, due to the fact that the USB port isnt a direct power source.

Default 5 Hours is Normal

The Book states that it takes up to 5 hours to charge Via the USB cable
