Default Psp usb problem

hi guys i'm having a problem connecting my psp to the computer...on the psp it keeps on telling me to connect the usb cable tried few different cables but still cant work... bypass the usb fuse also and it didnt work... there is also something funny with the set.... with all my other sets it only takes a short time to shutdown but on this set the power led blinks a total of 26 times... not sure y if its bricked i've actually use pandora but to no help... hope someone here has a remedy for it... other than this 2 problem the set is actually fine... thanks in advance to all who will reply...

try using the USB port on the back of your tower. and make sure the PC has 2.0 USB.

if you got windows and its not windows XP (like Vista) then the computer might not recognize the PSP

hi guys thanks for the reply.... the usb port i'm using now actually work with all other psp only with this particular 1..... not sure wat is wrong with it.. can it be the firmware.... is it partially bricked? if so how do i actually do a full format on the firmware?

if its just that one PSP that cant connect then the USB port on the PSP itself may be damaged, you might want to send the PSP to Sony if under warranty or buy a replacemnt USB port..... PSP replacement mini USB socket

check that link, they are in the UK, but im sure google, would probably find you a similar type of store in the states.

but how bout the shutdown problem any idea why it takes a long time to shutdown... total of 25 to 26 times the power led blinks...

that, i am not too sure of. Mine sometimes will blink a bunch before shutting down, I never really paid much attention to it, as long as it keeps shutting off and powering back up when I want im cool with it.
