A lot of the tips/tutorials I have been reading are from 3 years ago or so. They suggested you create all kinds of subdirectories and folders on your memory stick, along with specific folder names and renamed file names with the M4V and MAQ extensions to get them to play.
Now that the PSP has more updated firmware and formatting the mem stick seems to create one main VIDEO folder, is all this renaming video files still necessary? It's tough to know what is old and what is new information. And one last question...why are you able to have 4 zoom modes on some avi files on the PSP and on others, only two are available??? Campo, thanks for the reply. When I formatted my memory stick, it created a VIDEO folder and the files have been playing ok in there, provided I use a program that transfers the avi's in a specific "PSP mode". That is, if I just transfer any MP4 file in there without selecting PSP as the output, they won't necessarily play.
As for the zoom, I just read an online tip that says not all movies on a PSP will allow you to use all the various zoom modes. However, it does not say why or why not. I'd personally like to know. Maybe it has something to do with the screen resolution you choose when you convert the file?? |
