Default Battery dead during game, now not charging

Has anybody ever tried this?

Was playing NFS when the battery indicator flashed on the screen and the PSP went black.
Plugged in the powercord, but nothing happened. The PSP is not charging and i can't turn it on.

Please help

I got my battery dead several times during playing. Recharging went without problems. Did you get grey warning "low battery" screen before it shut off? When you try to recharge it, does led glow amber?

Try to take the battery out and plug in adapter cord. See if PSP turns on. If it works - put the battery back in and give it time to recharge. That's the only thing you could do.

Yup, got the "low battery" indicator gray screen and then dead. Nothing happens when i plug in the powercord, not lights turn amber and i can't start up the PSP.

Left out the battery all nite, still no luck charging it.

Are you sure your adapter is plugged into the outlet? Check it.

Make sure the outlet is powered. Just plug in some lamp and see if it works. Or use another outlet.

The problem afterall might be with your charger, not your PSP.
If you're 100% sure that outlet is in working condition then just try another charger (like your friends).

I'm waiting for a feedback.

I'm suspecting the adaptor too, tried plugging it into another 5V DC appliance and nothing happened.
I don't now anyone else with a PSP nearby, so I ordered a cradle-charger i found on the Internet, hope that does the trick.
Thanks for the help so far.

that'll only work if it comes with a new transformer and cable. Most of the cradles i have seen require you to plug your original power lead into it, so it wont work if your transformer/lead is dodgy.

Problem solved

Seemed the powerplug was a bit jiggy. I was messing around with it to try to measure the output and then tried to plug it in, and suddenly there was power.

Strange quality, but glad the issue was solved.

Thanx for the tips guys.

Good news in solving your problem and many thanks for posting the solution too.

Always good to have a good old fashioned wiggle and a jiggle
