Hey I finally am able to connect to the internet (I think). But right when I connect, I get a message saying "Found new updates, please insert memory card" I currently have the 1.5 version. If I hit "yes" to update, will that update me to the new version where i can't run homebrew software or is it some other kind of update? Please help asap

Do not update as you will not be able to run homebrew. However, the fact you are asking this tells me you aren't anyway so it's up to you.

You need your computer also hooked up to the internet.
First find a PSP site that has emulators for you 1.0 or 1.5 PSP. Then download them to your computer and then follow the instructions that come with it. To hook up your PSP to the computer, you get a mini A to B USB cable and plug both ends in. Then go to USB Connection and browse to my computer. You should see a 'hardware device'. It is the memory card in your PSP. Put all your files in there. Usually you just take the Snes9x (for example) program and copy it to the memory stick under the Games folder. Then find a rom you want to play over the internet and put it in the same folder as the emulator.

Ok, I did everything you told me to. So I put the snes9x plus a snes rom into my memory card "games folder" but when I access the memory card through my psp, there aren't any files in there. It just says "There are no games" What am I doing wrong? Also the emulator I downloaded didn't come with any instructions. And what do you mean "find a rom I want to play over the internet??" btw thanks a bunch for your help.

OK, scratch the last two posts. I got the snesx emulator onto my memory card now but how do I run a game? Everytime I start up the emulator, the PSP logo loads up, but then the screen just turns black and after about 15 seconds, my psp shuts off? What do I do?

It shuts off? That's something new to me. Go on PSP-hacker or something and look it up... I can't help you with that.
