Default PSP-TV adapter

Is there such a thing?

I've seen a guy selling one in this forum but its american so not sure if it will work in UK.

Saw on play.com that there is one coming out for the new 'Light PSP' ... anyone know if this will work on the standard version?

I've also seen ones advertised where it clamps a camera or something over your screen and connects it to the tele... are these any good cos they sound like a bag of sh*te...?

Well you've pretty much answered your own questions there, there IS PSP-TV cable but it will only work on the new PSP Slim, I don't think an american one would work on a UK PSP but I'm not sure about that.

Yes there is the one where a camera is clamped to the screen and yes it is a bag of doodies.

I don't see the point of it myself, a PSP is designed to be portable and played on the go, if you want to play/watch something on your TV, get a console!

Well, odhranus, To be frank, your wrong........That adapter will work on ANY region PSP. The only thing is that its output (Video) is a NTSC single which is mainly used in US tv sets. If anything, you buy a PAL to NTSC converter
($20 online) if your tv only accepts a PAL signal.

The BIGGEST advantage is that you can hook up a Dual Shock Controller to
it to play your games (ALOT more comfortable than holding the tiny PSP in your hands for a long period of time) and, with its docking station, it sits in the upright position for fewing AND will charge your battery at the same time.......Dont PREACH what you dont know!

Well, pspponme, To be frank, you're wrong......... You can't connect a dualshock controller to the PSP without heavily modding it. You can buy an attachment for the regular PSP so that it has handles. Don't PREACH what you don't know!

To Odhranus...

Thanks for your comments however I love the games I have on my PSP and would rather fork out £30 for an adapter to my tele rather than buy a new console.

To Bamhm182...

I think that pspponme means that the dualshock controller will connect to the adapter somehow... not the psp itself??

whats with all the PREACHing? lolz

to pspponme..learn some manners, I wasn't wrong, just said it the wrong way, notice I said that I wasn't sure about it....

to clatron..fair enough then, I just dont see the point myself, obviously many people want it because it's been released.
So if you want it then get it, and as psponme has said you could just get an adaptor for the cable, but I would just get the cable from the same country to save any bother.

question: does anyone know how long the lead is? could you sit back in the couch and still play the PSP on the TV without having to move the couch 3 foot away from the tv?

pspponme, watch what you are saying, od and bamhm are two of our most respected members here, so its not good for you to post something like that as your 1st/2nd post.

Od, no you didnt say that wrong, it was clearly stated you wasnt 100% sure, its just pspponme being a twit.

So lets all calm down here before this sprials out of control like those threads with pspkid.

The av-cables only work with the PSP slim and will not work with the standard PSP. No other cables or adapters have been made that connects the PSP to the TV.
There was one announced by a 3rd party company but that was scrapped a few monthes later.

Like Kev said, no need to be an a** I was simply stating that you would have to heavily mod your PSP to plug a dualshock controller into it. In your post, you made it sound like you were talking about plugging it directly into the PSP.
