Default PSP Screen - Im a fat lump and sat on mine!

As the title suggests...

So i need a new screen, the faceplate is fine, that must have bent and not cracked but only half the screen when i turn it on is there and a bullet whole looking thing where the stool leg was

Anyways, i had a look around and can see about £40.

This may have been asked before in another thread, but that may be old now, and new shops may be around.

I need a UK site that does spares, feedback if you have used them would be superb. Oh and a guide on DIY.
(Do-It-Yourself, for those more challenged people)

thanks.

If you're going to spend £40, I'd just get a broken PSP that the screen works off somewhere. But sorry, I don't know where to get one...

You don't need that. To replace the LCD, take the five faceplate screw out (two on memory stick side, two BLACK ones underneath the battery, and the silver one on the bottom), use a flatheaded screw driver to pop the HOME bar off, and then stick between the LCD and the houseing and gently pry up. I've done it a thousand times.

Thanks constantine, you saying i dont need that, do you mean its wrong, or just there is a faster way off doing it. To be honest, i would rather do it the longer way round where i have pics and instructions to show me.

I might put a new faceplate on it aswell, then get one of those hard case thingys.

I'm just saying it's super simple. I took apart my first PSP without any instructions or anything, and it was completely perfect.

Just make sure to put the right screws back where they go, TRUST ME! lol, One of my PSPs, I had put one of the longer screws where the short ones go, I had a big permanent black spot in the screen. DON'T DO THAT!!! :P

Be sure to have canned air because dust can and will get in there and annoy you.
