You don't need any, but there are some you should have lol.
Some good things to get would be:  At least a 1gig memory stick  Screen protectors (*important*) A nice case (preferably hard) Those are some basic things to get. You could get all kinds of extra stuff like speakers, better headphones, an extra battery, etc....

Hori screen protector:
http://www.amazon.com/HORI-Sony-PSP-...408968?ie=UTF8 I haven't tried any other screen protector, but I got it because a lot of people say it's good. I gotta say, it went on easy and protects my screen quite nicely. If you want a better set of headphones, you can take a look at these: http://shop4.outpost.com/{ltU2tTBuQH859ozmnx2dlA**.node2}/product/4392535;jsessionid=ltU2tTBuQH859ozmnx2dlA**.node2? site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG I got them and sound really good. You might also want a UMD holder to carry your games with you. |

Both items should be available at a well-known electronics store in your area. I bought the screen protector online, but I've seen it at a few of my local stores. I bought the headphones at a store.
The only advice I have for you is to look around. |

You're not going to find a Hori screen protector at a store, only the net, I believe. Pelican ones are easy to find, but can be hard to apply. Just be sure you put it on right and you should be fine. I use a hard Logitech screen protector. It's clear and it covers the front of the PSP (not the buttons of course), and I'm glad I bought it. Lasts long and you don't have to worry about putting it on wrong. Some drawbacks are that you get dust under it every once in a while and some may not like the way it looks. Most people prefer the soft stick-on ones.
