Well, it says that you have to remove the battery pack to change the UMD. I would not buy this. It just looks too big. Maybe I would purchase it if it came with an SD and CF card slot so that I could increase the memory capacity of the PSP, but just for a battery, no. There are smaller batteries that give the PSP 10 hours and are much much smaller. See this page

as far as i can tell all of those batteries in the test are a deviation from the design ethos of the psp and render most pouches useless ... although the tank-1002 also comes with a new pouch that holds the battery and psp ... this one still gets in the way of the drive, but due to the cable means you wont need to power down to change a disk ... but the tank fella works with your original battery inside and would just need unclipping to change the disk hopefully also without the need to power down ... its made by a company called bay consumer its so hard to make a decision when you can't see these things in front of you isn't it ... the tank adds 8 hours so by my reckoning your going to get about 12-13 hours using the internal battery as well ... so it seems that the power station is the most comparable in the test, but its also the worst design i've seen ... that said the new brando one attaches to the psp now ... this one from joytech also acts as a stand/grip/sun visor ... but its only 1800ma verses the tank-1002 4400ma ... ![]() the main thing i like about my original tank-1002 battery is that i've found the PSP to be a little on the thin side!! my thumbs are really bending in order to use the analogue stick properly, i think its one of the nicer designs for a large batter unit and this joytech one follows the same principle. i need to find out how much of a hassle it is to work it baring the UMD drive issue. i know its archaic 'n all but does anyone know a good shop in the UK to actually call and talk too about these things? wow ... the telephone ... !!! ![]() |
