Default memory stick issues

has anyone here every had an issue with their memory stick where when it is in the PSP the PSP doesn't recognize that there is a memory stick? That happened to me with my 128MG card and i bought a 256MG and it works fine. Just so it doesn't happen again, i'd like to know what happened and what not

Did you try formatting it in another device before putting it in the PSP?

I have my PSP and my Sony Cyber-Shot digital cam, that I use my 1GB MS for. I guess because they're both Sony, my MS can be formatted to both of them at the same time.

For instance, if I take a pic with my cam, then put the stick in my PSP, those pics are under PHOTOS

no, i didn;t try that but thanks for the advice, Pagnell. Before I dish out some more cash for a new memory card I'll try reformatting it on another device first

No, he's not suggesting you format it in another device...he's just asking if you did (that's your problem if you did)

Format it in your PSP
