Default Headphones

I know there have been numerous posts on the poor sound quality through the standard headphones. I'm looking to go and buy a new pair. All I want is for the sound to be loud enough for me to hear the music while on a bus or walking down a busy street (obviously listening to mp3'w not playing!).

Can anybody recommend a pair of headpohones that will do the above but cost a max of £20? Also, will I just plug it into the sony remote control of the existing headphones or are there headphones with the special jack the psp uses?

Thanks in advance.

£20 is not going to get you a good pair of earphones but you can get a half decent pair. The best for around that price in my opinion is Koss 'The Plug'. Yeah, stupid name I know. I bought a pair for my dad and they sound amazing given how much they cost. The frequency response isn't brilliant being as it is only 10-20,000 HZ (a good pair will be at least 5-25,000 HZ) so the treble is a little lacking and the bass a bit muddy. However, for the price they are unbeatable. They are amongst the best for blocking out external noise too due to their design - hence the stupid name.

Go here to get them for just £16.00.

Thanks Pagnell, not expecting a good pair for £20. What you describe sounds perfect. I'll let you know how I get on with them.
