Well I found that you can get a 4gb memory stick for about $150 - 200 USD...

So what happened to the 8 gb one? I haven't heard anything. (It's not like the memory stick's official website says anything either...)

Don't you need to upgrade to use an 8gb memory stick? Something about a workaround Sony has to make in the firmware... :?

Oh, and now you can find 4 GB Memory Stick Duo's for about $70 - 80 dollars.

What? 70-80 usd? back when i got my 512 it was on a one dy only special offer where it was dropped from 70usd to 50usd. bow you can get something 8 times as big for only a few dollars more, it's almost depressing...

which is why I've waited to get one, these days, prices for computers drop so quickly as the technology grows so quick too, you buy a computer today, and in a few months its dropped in price and only half as powerfull as newer PC's

Yup, my 1GB MS was a whopping $100 when I got it (when they first came out). A few days ago, I felt like I was robbed when I saw an ad in the Best Buy magazine for the exact card for like $25!

i got a high speed official sony 2 gb MSPD for 22 pounds on ebasy the other day.

In the uk on ebay, 4gb sticks are about 40 pounds!!

Target had a weekend special on 2 Gig cards for $50 USD. Needless to say, I picked one up.
