Plug your PSP to your PC via the USB cable -- your PSP should should appear as an external device (i.e. a new drive letter on your PC under Windows Explorer). Right click on the drive and there should be a format option.

My question to others, are there differences in formats done by PSP/PC? Or is it that PSP just puts the appropriate folders on the stick where the PC wouldn't?

If that doesn't work, maybe a multi-card reader may work. GL!

I believe a PC formatted Memory stick will not work on the PSP... and if my memory serves me well... will now never work on the PSP.

I am sure if this is wrong and someone knows other than this they will correct me.

That would make sense and it would also explain the problem that's been happening to many memory sticks. To my knowledge, PC's format memory as FAT32 and NTSC. I doubt that it would be NTSC because they use that primarily for harddrives and such. That means that the computer would have used FAT32 and converted everything into sectors (I think). Could be why it doesn't work on the PSP, then again the PSP could just format it with Sony's own storage system but that wouldn't make sense...

If the guy who sold it to you formatted it with the PC I think you should ask for a refund or something. (don't forget to tell him about this issue too :P) :?

A stick should work if "PC formatted;" just don't have the PSP folders, so PSP can't find music, vids, etc. Formatting it on PSP should put folders on.

Maybe that's why they sold it? How much you pay? Seen on-line for like $150 for 2GB Sandisk.

Maybe try PSP app like iPSP/PSPWAre to format?

Hah, I'm suprised no one caught that. I'm afraid it's called NTFS not NTSC. That's for tv formatting. :P

That's ok, we knew what you meant:

NTFS - Network of Tropical Fisheries Scientists

NTSC - Never (Twice) the Same Color

I am sure that the PSP is only able to read a 1gb card. I could be wrong, but I am sure that it is not able to read anything above 1gb.

If you get it working though, please, let us know and prove me wrong.
