Default USB Cable

Can anyone tell me if the PSP USB cable is the same as the one used by Sony digital cameras (namely DSCP71). It certainly looks the same!!
I know you can get the PSP cable cheap enough, but I don't want to go and buy one before my PSP arrives if I don't need one.

hey....what about Windows 2000? :x lol

I'm running 2000 and you don't need a driver, it installs it itself

Default weird..

my XP home SP2 doesn't seem to want to recognize the PSP when connected via an existing USB cable.
I just pop the memory stick out and put it in my card reader/writer instead. Should I be returning this thing?
