Default Newbie and MS Adaptor question.

Ok, read the forums, and have been sold. Am going to get a 1gb MS Pro Duo.
However, what do the Adaptors do, that I keep seeing advertised, and do I need one?
Thanks in advance.

I guess you are referring to the Duo->normal adaptor. This is a case that in effect gives your Duo stick the size of a regular one, so that you can use it with devices that need one. For me, since I have a W7 Sony digital camera that accepts only normal MS it would be really necessary, for instance.
