Default PSP + gamepad?

I've heard that it is possible to connect a gamepad to psp and make it work properly. Is it just a myth, or in any way possible? If you could answer I'd be delighted
I know that this may sound silly and illogic "why connect a gamepad to a portable system?" Well the issue is that I haven't got any other console except for PSX, and PSP will be having Guilty Gear XX Accent Core + soon. As I'm a member of Guilty Gear Team Poland i'd rather play it on arcade stick which I'm used to than on psp controls.

Any hope?

Yeah you got hope dude. theres program in the homebrew community that enables a link to your pc to the psp and enables a joypad to be redirected to the psp controls

PSP ----- PC------JOYPAD

You need a home brew capable psp to do this, and patience, cos it requires some reading and configuration. If youve got none of these then you cant
