I think an adapter to the USB sounds like a good idea. Then you can connect the Av wires to the PSP/tv.

Which erases the whole 'portability' aspect of the handheld. Only plus side would be if that was the only thing you brought to a really boring party.

Not really, if there's a tv somewhere you can play it, if not... It's just a wire and a block in your backpack.

Can you see where they're coming from, though? I can. If you're somewhere with access to a TV, why play on a tiny screen?

Well, if you're going on a school field trip or something there WOULDN'T be a tv right? No need to bring an av cord. But if you're going on vacation you can just put those in your luggage or you backpack!
