Purchasing new system as a gift

Good morning,

Although I realize this forum is much more complex than this question, I hope that someone has a few moments to provide some direction.

My husband's birthday is next week and I know that he wants a PSP system. Normally I'd ask him for advice but I really want this to be a surprise.

I plan to purchase a PSP system and I know he wants the 300 game. He has gamed his entire life and uses our PS3 daily. He's in the military but prefer historical warfare or fantasy based games.

I have done my research but the reality is that there are a lot of accessories. Could anyone recomment the basis I should get him upfront?

I would appreciate a suggestion as to the size of memory card, whether I should get the grip (so it looks like a PS3 controller), and what cables might be required that don't come with the system.

I'd reccomend a case and definitely a screen protector.
