I had a hard time finding a review about the Joytron System Skin Case for the PSP Slim, so I decided to write one here.
I wanted a case to protect my factory finish without having a bulky case like I found at EVERY game story. This case, the clear plastic case, is perfect for what I want. When I first opened the box I wasn't sure if the thinness of the plastic would be a problem. I really does add to the lightness of the Slim PSP, however, and the PSP itself is all the support that the case needs. I don't think I would want it thicker. It is meant to protect the factory finish of your PSP and that is what it does. It will not protect it from impact very much. I like this more than a bulky case that I can't fit into my pocket. I use it with a screen protector and I love it. All of the buttons are easily accessible as well as all ports. The UMD slot opens smoothly and I now don't worry about scratches. It came in 4 pieces and each piece fit perfectly and was super easy to install. There is no sliding around like the rubber cases tend to do. I would by this product again for sure. I got mine on eBay, but it is just as cheap to go directly to their website at Link Removed - Kernel Kev ![]() |

After reading a multitude of reviews about various crystal clear cases for the PSP slim model, and checking out cases available in B&M stores, I finally chose to get the joytron (nuritech) case.
It was a relief to find that Nuritech actually did what no one else seemed to - they produced a case that fits PERFECTLY. Every connector port, button, and door is fully accessible, and yet my psp is completely protected from dust, scratches, and fingerprints. The case also adds very little bulk, so that my psp still fits in a soft travel case for extra protection on the road. Just like other reviews said, it appears very thin when you take it out of the box - but it took 2 seconds to snap it on my PSP and voila! It's awesome. Any other case will pale in comparison! |

I just bought it a while ago, so here's my review xP
Ever since I bought the psp slim when it first came out, I had been waiting for a psp protector that wouldn't interfere with the controls without having to take the protector off to play. I eventually came across a forum where there was much praise for the Joytron PSP Slim skin case, so I decided to order it and I am glad that I did. The case comes in four parts. One part fits on the front while three parts fit on the back, allowing access to the UMD without removing the skin case. The skin case itself protects the psp from being scratched pretty well, and is also nice because now I don't get fingerprints all over my psp. There is just enough openings for every function so that you don't have to remove the case. An opening on the side allows the memory stick to be changed just like before the case was added, so the skin case does not interfere with the usability. Since the skin case is not too bulky and the buttons are also given just enough room, playing the psp feels almost just as natural as without a skin case but with the added feel that your psp has protection. The only thing that you can't do with the skin case on is that you can't change the battery without removing one of the back pieces of the case, but I never really remove the battery from my psp anyways. If you were to want to take the skin case off, it may be a bit confusing at first but the case comes with both installation instructions and removal instructions. Also, when I recieved the skin case, it came with a hand written letter thanking me for my purchase which was pretty nice. Overall, the skin case is extremely good and does everything I'd want it to do. I can't think of any way that the skin case could be made better. Also, it does not cover the screen, which means if you want to protect the screen you'll need to get a screen protector. |
