Thumbs down Battery pack

I have recently bought a battery pack.

If I was at home watching a video. My ac power supply was charging and there was a battery in my psp. Would the psp be runing from the batter or the ac power supply?

I'm pretty sure it runs from the power supply and not the battery as the battery still charges if you have it plugged in but are using it.

the red light flashes so yeah, youre right man,
BUT my dodgy usb lead/cable bought from GAME of all places only runs the PSP without using the battery and doesnt charge the batery, even when turned off... Does anyone else have this problem??

I have a USB lead that works with the older more portly PSP and charges it no problem, whether on or off. It was bought from Poundland.... of all places!
