Same here, no matter what console it's for, I wouldn't buy it. If I'm getting shot in a game, I'm jump around until I see them, than I go after them, it's no biggie for me. I do agree that the PS3 needs some sort of rumble though, so if this comes stock in a PS3 before I quit trading mine back in every 3 months, I'll get it.
Also, I heard that the 40 GB PS3 won't be able to play PS1/2 games, is that true? If so, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard! I'm sure pretty much anyone would pay a couple extra bucks to have the ability to play PS1/PS2 games. That'd just be retarded... |

sorry, didn't mean to start a 360 vs ps3 war again, just making a silly post. Neither did I hint that you were bashing the 360 in anyway. As for the 40gb PS3, It does sound like a stupid idea not to allow ps1/2 games to be played on it but as kev said I don't think it's that much of a biggie, don't think I'd touch a ps2 game again if I had a ps3, anyways I'd just boot up the ps2.

"Do I want to play PS2 games on my PS3? Or should I be stubborn and whine about the little black console taking up space in my set-up? And, is backwards compatibility, memory card slots, and two extra USB ports worth the extra $100?" That's why there are multiple SKUs Bam...

WTF!?! The 40 gig only has 2 USB ports? I'd pay the $100 for the 60 gig version.
Is the 80 gig version getting a price drop does anyone know? EDIT: Also, has anyone heard about the new 5 gig SKU that's coming out, can only play PS3 games that start with a vowel, has no USB or online support, and has no option to upgrade the HDD. Can't wait for it to come out! Oh, I forgot to mention, this one's only going to be $375! Last edited by bamhm182; 10-17-2007 at 09:01 PM. |

Anyway, Bam do me a favor, stop and think...how many USB ports does your beloved console have available on the front...ahh thats right the best 360 has the same amount of front USB ports as the lowest quality PS3, so please, stop being a hypocrite...I specifically edited my post and included that little piece about the 40GB PS3 having 2 USB ports just to see you come running and criticize the cheaper PS3...and you played right into it, just as I knew you would... Anyway, on a lighter note, how do you think Sony is supposed to lower a consoles price without altering the specs to make it cheaper to mass produce? Just look at Microsoft and the 360, two different SKUs, one is crippled compared to the Premium, thats how they can afford to sell it at such a lower price...besides, just keep your PS2 hooked up to your TV if you want to play PS2 games so much and you don't want to/can't afford the $500 PS3 with everything the PS3 has to offer... Now I didn't want to bring up the 360 in this thread but I just had to so you could understand and stop criticizing a console for what its worth...
