Default Bioshock may be coming

I just found something interesting on another forum which points towards Bioshock coming to the PS3:

look what some one found In the configuration file of the PC Demo of Bioshock: there are some notes for the interested about the game engine configurations options and there's a little topic about consoles.

[Console]

;; Console (XBox360, PS3) specific settings

;; StreamingDynamicFloatingLimit:
;; If this is a positive number, then instead of using the fixed per-level
;; limits, the StreamingDynamic resource will use as much memory as is
;; available as long as the total memory allocated by the game is less than
;; the specified number. In other words, StreamingDynamic will grow and
;; shrink to fit to the available memory instead of being locked to a fixed
;; budget
StreamingDynamicFloatingLimit=500

You'll find this under Program Files/2k Game/Bioshock demo/Content/config.ini , just open the file with notepad or wordpad . Good news for ps3 fans although most already assumed the game was coming.

Interesting, would have thought that Sony would be all over it by now, advertising it and what not.

I hope it does come out for the PS3. *fingers crossed*

Shown to be meaningless from what I have read.

Bioshock uses the Unreal engine and that file is there for the engine rather than the game itself so it would be in place for every game that uses it. There are PS3 games that use the Unreal engine (Unreal Tournament 3 for example) and as a result it should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Still, it's not impossible it might be released for the PS3 but don't hold your breath.

This Unreal engine has been used a rather lot. It must be rather good then?

The Unreal engine has been one of the best since it first came out ten years ago and has received multiple updates since then. I would say it is currently the best looking, with Valve's Source engine not far behind.

This makes me wonder how the makers of mass effect dare to complain about the engine.

Maybe it's a BIT** to work with, but the end result is amazing.

Agreed, but I'd also put id's new tech 5 engine, and the Crytech engine up there with those.

The Crytech engine can't really be included as there is nothing currently on the market that uses it.
