Default Heavenly Sword Demo

I downloaded this last night and here are some impressions.

I thought the demo was far too short, but you can already tell this will be a solid game. The combat was engaging, but it got a little confusing when there were a lot of enemies on screen. It felt really natural to me though, I'd say it feels quite similar to the God of War games.

Graphics wise, I noticed some glitches here and there with some framerate dips and wierd looking shadows that flickered now and then. Other than that, this game is absolutely gorgeous. The art style is wonderful, and the animation really looks fluid and natural.

I wish the demo was longer, I will definitely be buying this when it comes out in September, though, just based on what I played.

So has anyone else played it yet? If so what do you think?

but it was far to short, 10 mins max.
all in all very impressed with the demo and can't wait to get my hands on the game

I agree with both of you. The demo was very very short, but awesome. I managed to do both of the moves that I wanted to do (1 in which a guy gets knocked down, then you jump up, and slash him down the middle with the power stance sword; and the other where you kick a guy up, and then kick him right in between the legs). The first time I played it, I got beat on the first place because I didn't use blocks and counters properly, but the second time it was pretty straight forward.

As long as I will have the money for it, I will definitely get this game.

lol Me too. I was playing it a little bit more a little while ago and I realized that you can throw a lot of the objects in the environment around and if you hold X you can kind of direct where they go. It's pretty cool.

Well personaly I'm very disappointed with Ninja Theory, not because the demo was short or a bit glitchy, but because it was like a damn year old! They've already said that most of the glitches have been sorted out, but anyway the is a game that I must get on launch date! I love the cinematic kills! I can't wait for the battles where there are like 100's close to the thousand mark or enemies you have to fight at once, Proccessing power ftw!
