I just read this, and I found it very funny. It seems pretty clear that the church does not care about humans surviving an alien invasion by trying to defend themselves in a church, as long as nobody fictionally uses guns there, and the cash keeps coming.

Same reason why my beliefs have changed dramatically over the years even though I grew up in a decently Christian family. Mass organized religion is not what it use to be when it was started... and this depicts that as clear as day.

ABC... religion is a funny thing and is VERY helpful to those that need some sort of 'meaning' in their lives.... I am a non-believer although some of my extended family are heavily into Religion... I have learnt that if that is what they believe then cool for them.... as long as I do not get a bible read at me I am cool.

Personally, I'm not anti-religion at all. I think its perfectly fine to hope for afterlife, and some supreme being that can help keep society in control, I think these things help us, as well lower the fear of death. At the same time, I am extremely anti-church. I think those places are just business. The only thing they care about is money, and totalitarian control.

I'm christian, but I'm not one of those Jesus freaks, I just believe, I don't really go to church much. This reminds me of that movie Dogma with Jay and Silent Bob, it's better to have ideas than religions. :P
