Games not available in the UK store, played on the UK PS3! - PSP-Forum.com

It's true, there are a number of games that are not available on the UK playstation store that can still be played on UK Playstation 3s.

Monkey Business and I were testing it out, I let him use my account, and download some demos that aren't available on the UK playstation store, through my download list.

Here's a list of what we've tested, and what worked and didn't work:
NBA '07 on UK PS3- Works
Def Jam: Icon Demo on UK PS3 - Doesn't work - Corrupt Data error
All Other US demos not available in the UK - Works
Gran Turismo HD Concept: 2.0 on US PS3 - Doesn't work - "This Game is not supported. (80028F10)"

There are other game that he's downloaded, but he hasn't gotten a chance to test them out yet. I will be downloading the Gran Turismo 2.0 update tomorrow, and will edit the post after I test it.

We just thought we'd let you know, even though there are some games that can't be downloaded via the UK store, they can still be played via a UK PS3.

having tried all the demos that are not in the uk store but are in the us store on my pal PS3 i can say that they all work fine except def jam which i can't quite understand

Hmn... it seems to me like it'd be giving you the same message it's giving me, maybe something went wrong in the download. You should try downloading it again.

i just got my self a japanese account and downloaded the eveybodys golf 5 demo and i have to say its pretty good

the playstation store is in Japanese but its all like the UK and US store so its easy to follow
the demo is in japanese but again easy to follow

Man, too bad that everybody doesn't speak the same language... It'd be so much easier than...

So does this mean I can make an american acount and download all the demo's that work?

yep, just create new user and then sign up to playstation network, choose America/united states and when its address do a fake one/make one up.
same with the Japanese and hong kong account
