uhh i have no problems whatsoever.ive played GoW for 5 hours and nothing goes wrong. as long as you have it in an open area, and not some dusty closed off entertainment unit you will be fine. it gets hot sure but usually wont die unless the previous existed.

also, the third-party intercoolers arent always the best, cus alot of the time they just drain power away from the unit itself.

I have played Oblivion for about seven hours solid without so much as a cough in performance, never mind a panic or '3 red red lights'.

I can say the same thing about my PS3, I played it up to 5 hours straight, and then I kept it on for the rest of the day and night downloading things. Just like Ard.Rhys said, the same goes for the PS3. Keep it in a clean and open place, and you won't have problems.

The only problems i have had with my 360, is that the wireless network adapter decides to disconnect from my router every now and then. I have had the 360 since november and its only ever done it twice. I felt the adapter and it was quite warm, so i unhooked it and left it with a fan blowing on it to cool it down, and it worked fine againg.

So im wondering if the adapter has like a thermometer in it or something that shuts it off if its getting too hot, i was like on xbox live for easy 8 hours straight.

Yeah same here, except it was on for a good 14 hours being played by me and my cousin, we we're taking turns, he played while I was on the bike during the day and I played at night while he got me all the snacks and soda I wanted...

Yeah, my first PS3 went through hell, between being moved a few miles every week(back and forth between my mom and dad's house) and the hard core gaming sessions I've had. :P

The over heating issues with the initial batch of 360's were over reported and blown out of all proportions.... My 360 often is on for MAMMOTH gaming seassons of over 12 hours and then often left on for down loading demos and vids in the background too.... no heating issues at all.

So if your worried about heating issues don't be. And as for an intercooler... yeah right...

They've got a new cooling system in the 360s, it's supposed to fix the RODs. When/if mine goes out, I'm going to go swap my motherboard with a new one, one with the new heatsink.

Or you could not put the power brick on the carpet, like most idiots.

I don't have carpet, I don't like it at all... You spill stuff in it or drop a screw, the screw's gone and whatever you spilt never comes out.
