Default MGS Creator: PS3 Difficult, Interest in Xbox 360.

Quote:
Gamepro online has now published their feature interview with the creator of Metal Gear Solid in FULL. There are two pages full of questions and answers but several particularly caught our eye. Kojima commented that the PS3 is difficult to work with, but he doesn't want to say too much as Playstation 'father' Kutaragi may get REALLY upset. He also revealed that he has a desire to create on the Xbox 360 as its selling so well and he's a fan of GoW. Interestingly Kojima FAILED to completely deny rumors that MGS4 is coming to the Xbox 360 by saying its for the 'PS3 only so far'.
Oh well, looks like MGS4 isn't going to be coming to the Xbox 360 but his comments on the PS3 are interesting and back up other developer comments that, while the Cell CPU on paper looks the mutt's nuts, it's not ideally designed for games and is difficult to work with. Hopefully this will change when the developers find ways to work around it's shortfalls.

Oh, and before the PS3 fan boys get all hot under the collar, I'm posting this because it's news, not to put down the PS3.

Although I didn't hear about this specifically, I have heard that it is hard to work with the cell processor. This even makes me scared that I might have spent over $600 on a console that won't be getting much games on it. But on the other hand, I think the Cell might be hard to work with because it is new. It is just so different from all other processors, for people who worked with old ones it is hard to change completely to work with the new. That would mean that within time game makers with get adjusted to this.

I remember people saying the exact same thing about the PS2, and look how much it grew.

I will give a serious thought about rainbow six. My friend got that for 360, and its great. The only problem is that its very hard, and I'm likely to get frustrated and give up  . GRAW2, I'm not sure, I will have to see when it comes out.

Lair... That game is going to be awesome, its a sure buy for me. Then there are heavenly sword and assassin's creed, but who knows when those are coming...

Funny thing is that...I checked Sony's site and most games are due in March...exept Rainbow Six...

Oh and with Rainbow Six we should play 4 player co-op with some friends and own the campaign...can't wait...

Oh and Lair is due March as with most games (GRAW2), but Lair is a must buy for me...
