No, its not...thats a killer 2.18 TREAFLOPS of processing power man....the PS3 is actualy a VERY cheap way to get a`hold of a cell broadband processor ...not to mention the slick Blu-ray drive...although its "Read Only" ... :cry: :roll:

Taking a PS3 chip out to put in a PC means it would be limited in what it can run. Operating systems are programmed depending on the processor architecture it is going to be run on. You couldn't do that and just run Windows XP on it for example.

Yea Sony made a special version of Linux to use the Cell to its (full?) potential , I think it was called Yellow Dog or something like that, going to install it sooner or later... :roll:
